I seem to be majorly addicted to knitting at the moment. I have plans for using up my stash of dk cotton and also the merino handdyed stuff I have.

The lace scarf is still on the go, mainly because I need the kids out of the way to concentrate on that one!! I have however finished knitting the baby Jeans from knitty and my first of 2 slippers for myself.

It is really great to finally knit something for myself for a change.

I have plans to design as I knit some boys dungarees- knitted in one piece I hope on circs and using magic loop!! If it is good enough I hope to submit it to knitty.com

Beyond that I would like to knit a small cardigan for the new baby and have a go at finding a simple bootie pattern that I like. I am also going to see if Rowan Calmer comes in some nice Boyish colours as Reuben likes my slipper…. he might just like some himself!!

As for the merino…. I need to make use of my wolly wonder pattern and make some newborn shorties!!

Yarn i have my eye on at the mo is mainly silk (hand dyed) and lace weight….. tho I think rowan calmer is lovely and would make some nice ankle socks. There is also a pattern in this months simply knitting mag with RYC Bamboo yarn … the pattern looks just like a fab challenge… but needing 15 balls of yarn .. it works out pricey!
