Bibs my way :) This is inspired by the bib o love pattern.

Basically if you figure out the dimensions you require for a bib and look at your wool guidelines (either swatch or knowing wether you knit loose or tight) you can knit bibs in any yarn. Cottons and easy wash yarns obviously are more practical.

here is what I did-:

I used an aran/dk weight wool and 4mm needles.

Cast on 30 st (or about 6-7 inches worth).

Knit all rows for 8-9 inches.

ONE STRAP- cast all 23 st until you have 7 st (or the equivalent of 1.5-2inches of work left). Knit all rows for 8 inches. Next row (button hole) K3, YO, K2tog, K2. Knit 2 more rows and then cast off. Sew button at top corner of panel opposite strap. You can put more than one button hole in if you want adjustability.

TWO STRAP- knit 7 st, cast off the next 16st and knit the last 7 st. Work on these last 7st. knit for 4 inches and cast off. Rejoin yarn to the remaining 7 st and knit for 3.5 inches. Next row (button hole) K3, YO, K2tog, K2. Knit 2 more rows and then cast off. Sew button at top of other strap.

Sew in all ends and decorate the panel of your bib in an exciting way! See here for more ideas.
