Reuben went to his first Birthday party at his new school (well the party was in the church hall)- it was a disco and he was very unsure. Molly however loved her gift and I really enjoyed making it! So without further delay here is M for Molly!

I forgot to take a ‘before’ picture but I was fortunate enough to get a little upholstered stool on freecycle yesterday.  It is grey with grey velour cushioning.  One hour’s naptime (the kids…not me) enabled me to  recover the cushion with ‘carrots and peas’ retroish fabric and it looks great.  I want to paint the wooden bit cream but that will have to wait till either the weekend or when we move (depending on weather and stocks of paint currently in the garage!).

Our sofa has looked like this for 4 years.

VERY boring.  finally Amy Bulter’s new range of fabrics was in colours that captured me and so it now looks like this. The cushions spread over 2 sofa’s that are identical.

And a close up of the fabrics (on the patchwork cushion).

Spinning!!

This was my first attempt on an Ashford Student 150g spindle!!! heavy and produced chunky (uneven as I am a beginner) wool.  It was however great for plying the wool.  I have a nice spindle otw and when I have something pretty to show I’ll share!

I haven’t blogged for a while so I am going to do a catch up of a few posts in one day.
Made for Elias’ Christmas Pressie.
More Tees… I love Bondaweb and stitch and tear ;)
My Favourtie applique Tee yet- Jude loves it!
More of the Christmas Pjamas.
yes it is a dishcloth- have done a few of these for pressies as they are a fast knit and a good way to use up left over balls of cotton. My MIL however cannot accept it as a dishcloth and is turning it into a bag for pens…at least she will use it!
Monkey socks for me.
Toe up socks for Mark!
Need to fit a zip onto this Cardy knit fast with Chunky wool for Jude!

Well I’ll post the mummy stuff in a bit but here are a few projects…

knitting flowers to decorate things with.

Knitty- Wisp

first attempt at gloves using louisa harding impression!

a pair of booties using up odds of wool… they dont fit E yet…

I have also got some new yummy wools in my stash so the xmas knitting can begin!

I own a few pieces of crochet’d Jewellery and have always wanted to give it a go as such! So today I watched a tutorial on Youtube and just went for it. It isn’t perfectly finished off but for a first attempt I lurve it!!

This was before…… and the next two are after.

I bought the masks from our local hobbycraft shop and used ribbon and felt. The kids did alot themselves although needed some help smoothing and sticking to cover the whole mask. I will hang them asap in the play room.
