Reuben went to his first Birthday party at his new school (well the party was in the church hall)- it was a disco and he was very unsure. Molly however loved her gift and I really enjoyed making it! So without further delay here is M for Molly!

Reuben was thrilled to find his pirate 3/4 length pants on the stairs when he came down this morning and we think they look great. In fact I was so pleased that I decided to make him a proper pirate outfit. I made the waistcoat ad hoc (no pattern) and the same pants again (in less time yay!).
The Skull and Crossbones were cut out by Mark and then I tried applique for the first time using the machine. It is a technique I have been practising lots and I am chuffed to bits that I did this well. I think it looks fab! Will post action pics tomorrow!
Reuben has recently aquired a copy of the book called ‘the night pirates’ and loves it. So I bought him a yard of pirate fabric from USA ebay and made him these shorts! For my first attempt at making shorts/ trousers for the kids I think they turned out really well. I hope he likes then and we will find out in the morning!!
